KeyBank will close early so staffers can volunteer

KeyBank branches will close at noon today so approximately 75 employees in the north country can participate in its 18th annual "Neighbors Make the Difference Day."

The event, which started in KeyBank's Alaska branches, is now the signature volunteer effort for the company.

KeyBank employees will be volunteering at Thousand Islands Habitat for Humanity in Watertown, Frontier Housing/Smith Hills in Dexter, CAA of Franklin County in Malone, Brookside Senior Living Center in Lowville, Clayton Council of Churches Food Pantry in Clayton, Adams Center Union Cemetery in Adams Center, the state Department of Transportation in Potsdam, the Salvation Army in Massena and Ogdensburg, the town of Brasher offices in Brasher Falls, Pine Grove Senior Housing in Gouverneur and the village of Potsdam offices.
