SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — St. Lawrence University senior Nick Perzanoski claimed the decathlon title at the ECAC outdoor track and field championship meet Friday, winning by five points over John Miley of Bates College.

Perzanoski finished with 6,030 points, an NCAA meet provisional score. SLU's team finished fifth out of 52 teams in the meet with 39 points. Moravian won the team title with 88 points.

Geoff Grambo finished second in the shot put for SLU and Jay Thornhill was third in the 200.

■ St. Lawrence University sophomore Alyssa Pirinelli finished second in the shot put and discus Friday at the ECAC outdoor track and field championship meet, snapping an 11-meet victory streak.

The Saints finished tied for sixth with Bates and Gettysburgh with 31 points. Alexis Nuffer finished sixth in the 800 for SLU.
