Durant's two blasts power Norwood-Norfolk
NAC CENTRAL: Belile adds three-run homer as Flyers rock Red Raiders; Sharlow fuels Massena

NORWOOD — Pat Durant homered twice to lead the Norwood-Norfolk baseball team to a 12-5 victory over Massena in a Northern Athletic Conference Central Division game Tuesday.

Durant hit a two-run homer in the second and added a solo shot in the fourth inningfor the Flyers (4-6 overall, 2-6 division). Nick Belile hit a three-run homer for Norwood-Norfolk in the fourth.

Garrett Sharlow smacked three hits, including a home run, and Nathan Pichette added two hits for Massena (7-5, 6-3).

OFA 16, GOUVERNEUR 2

Mike Luckie went 2-for-4, including a three-run homer in the seventh, to lead the Blue Devils in a Central Division game at Gouverneur. Gene Bouyer and Andy Fisher each added two hits for OFA (10-1, 8-1).

Duane Roberts went 3-for-4 to lead the Wildcats (1-6). Ben Rockwood, Justin Jackson and Jordan Closs each added two hits.

POTSDAM 5, MALONE 1

Jerry Coleman struck out 10 and held Malone (9-5, 5-5) to three hits as the Sandstoners picked up a Central Division win in Potsdam.

Jon Coleman doubled twice for Potsdam (8-2, 7-2).

CANTON 12, TUPPER LAKE 3

Jordan Brown struck out 14 to lead the Golden Bears (5-4, 4-4) in a Central Division game in Canton.

Ramsey Locke and Jeff Hyde each had two hits for Canton.

Jimmy Merrihew picked up two hits for the Lumberjacks (2-10, 1-9).

SALMON RIVER 12,

MADRID-WADDINGTON 11

Shane Ghostlaw struck out eight and added two hits to lead Salmon River (7-2, 7-0) in an East Division game in Madrid.

Marc Plante and Braden Seidel each added two hits for Salmon River, and Alex Otis homered for the Shamrocks. Jordan Kendall stole five bases for the Yellow Jackets (1-9, 1-7).

ST. LAWRENCE 15, CHATEAUGAY 4

Derek LaBaff and Mike Weller each had three hits to pace the Larries in an East Division game at Brasher Falls.

Quinn Patraw struck out nine for St. Lawrence Central (7-4, 6-3).

Kyle Demers, Brad Spinner and Jordan Henderson each had two hits for the Bulldogs (4-5).

SOUTH LEWIS 7, GENERAL BROWN 4

Harry Campbell smacked a pair of hits to become the Falcons' all-time hits leader during the Frontier League crossover victory at Dexter.

Campbell recorded his 107th career hit to surpass the 106-mark set by former South Lewis standout Wayne Dailey in 2002.

Campbell also struck out 11, giving up two hits and walking five, while Ethan Martin went 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs. Mark Kelley, Phil McGovern and T.J. Mowers added two hits apiece for South Lewis (7-8, 7-5).

Josh Dieterich supplied a triple for the Lions (4-11, 2-9).

SACKETS HARBOR 13, LYME 10

Beau Fletcher contributed three hits, including a two-run home run, as the Patriots held off the Indians in a "D" Division matchup in Chaumont.

Brett Weller blasted a three-run homer for Sackets Harbor (10-4, 9-2). Justin Henderson finished with two hits and three RBIs for Lyme (4-8, 4-7), and Corey Walker smacked a two-run home run.

LOWVILLE 19, SANDY CREEK 4

Isaac Bushey had two hits and four RBIs as the Red Raiders handled the Comets in a crossover game at Lowville.

Zach Haenlin hit a single and a triple, and A.J. Capone and Matt Roggie recorded two hits apiece for Lowville (15-4, 10-1).

Mike Elkin went 2-for-4 with a double, triple and two RBIs for Sandy Creek (5-8).
