CLAYTON — Jamie Wiley contributed a two-run double, and Courtney Henry chipped in an RBI double as Thousand Islands handed South Jefferson its first Frontier League softball loss, 3-0, in a crossover game Friday.

Jessica Wiley surrendered three hits and registered six strikeouts for Thousand Islands (10-1 overall, 9-1 league). Mackenzie Hall supplied a double for South Jefferson (13-4, 9-1).

COPENHAGEN 9,

BELLEVILLE HENDERSON 4

Suesan Johnson and Chelsey Baker each supplied two hits, including a triple, and the Golden Knights claimed the "D" Division victory at Copenhagen.

Olivia Sullivan struck out six batters and finished 3-for-4, and Beth Deveines added a triple for Copenhagen (3-8, 3-7).

Bailey Allen went 3-for-4 with a triple, while Brittany Grimshaw added a pair of hits for the Panthers (4-8, 4-7).

BEAVER RIVER 15, LYME 4

Emily Zehr belted four hits, including a double and two RBIs, as the Beavers dominated a crossover game at Beaver Falls.

Winning pitcher Megan Clemons had a good cushion to work with, as the Beavers (6-7, 4-7) plated six runs in the first inning. She finished with six strikeouts.

Courtney Strasser provided a two-run single for the Indians (0-10).

MASSENA 12, TUPPER LAKE 0

Massena's Marci Silver relied on the defense to help pitch a complete-game, one-hit shutout in a victory over Tupper Lake in a Northern Athletic Conference Central Division game.

Mickenzie Lennox went 3-for-4 and Janelle Bradish smacked a triple for the Red Raiders (6-5, 5-4).

Brooke Chartier had the only hit for the Lumberjacks (0-8). The single came in the bottom of the third inning.

CANTON 4, OFA 1

Kacie Wentworth struck out nine batters and gave up just two hits in a Central Division game in Canton.

The Golden Bears received two hits and two RBIs from Samantha Corbett. Samantha Brown added a pair of hits for the Golden Bears (11-1, 7-1).

Kate McCarney had the only two hits and RBI for Ogdensburg Free Academy (4-4).

COLTON-PIERREPONT 19,

BRUSHTON-MOIRA 6

The Colts tallied nine runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to break open a relatively close East Division game in Colton.

Emily Watson, Molly Thomas and Alex Sochia all connected for three hits for Colton-Pierrepont (4-5).

Kelsey Manchester blasted two home runs, both solo shots, to lead Brushton-Moira (2-7, 2-5).

MADRID-WADDINGTON 20,

EDWARDS-KNOX 11

The Yellow Jackets pounded out seven runs in the top of the sixth inning to blow open a nonleague game against the Cougars during the first day of the Lisbon tournament.

Cierra Wells paced Madrid-Waddington with two hits and four runs scored. Megan Barney added two singles and three RBIs for the Yellow Jackets (5-5).

Miranda Typhair smacked a two-run home run and a solo shot for Edwards-Knox (8-2).

NORWOOD-NORFOLK 19,

MORRISTOWN 8

A six-run third inning and a seven-run sixth helped put the Flyers out of reach in a nonleague win over the Green Rockets in the first day of the Lisbon tournament.

Jessica Harvey hit a home run and a single while Jenna Lazore smacked two triples for Norwood-Norfolk (6-6).

Kristy VanArnam had two hits and Paige Aldridge hit a double for Morristown (3-10).

LISBON 12, GOUVERNEUR 7

The Golden Knights scored seven runs in the top of the seventh inning to take a commanding lead and beat the Wildcats in the opening round of the Lisbon tournament.

Jen Lassial, Jackie LaFave, Mackenzie Walker and Bridget Teele all had two hits for Lisbon (6-1).

Danni Easton collected three hits, and Holly Weaver added a pair of singles for Gouverneur (2-5).
