DEKALB JUNCTION — Miranda Typhair picked up two wins in back-to-back complete games as the Edwards-Knox softball team earned a pair of Northern Athletic Conference West Division triumphs over Hermon-DeKalb on Thursday.
The Cougars won, 9-3, in the first game, before coming back for a 12-1 victory in the closing game.
Typhair struck out 18 total batters in 12 innings for Edwards-Knox (8-1 overall, 7-0 league).
HAMMOND 9-10, HARRISVILLE 1-5
Jess Measheaw pitched two complete games and won them both in a West Division doubleheader in Hammond.
Measheaw struck out seven in game one and two in the second for Hammond (6-1).
Katie French scored once and had three hits on the day for Harrisville (2-6).
LOWVILLE 4, CARTHAGE 3
Kim Tarasek doubled home the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning to give Lowville a Frontier League crossover win over visiting Carthage.
Tarasek finished with two RBIs, while Jessica Becker and Chanelle Morse both were 2-for-4 for the Red Raiders (9-2, 7-2). Chanelle Morse hit a home run, and Cheyenne Morse pitched a two-hitter with nine strikeouts for Lowville.
Lavisha McClarin drove in two runs for the Comets (6-7, 4-3) and had a double.
SOUTH JEFFERSON 7, WATERTOWN 6
Donna Goodnough slapped a two-out single up the middle, scoring Shannon Zaykoski from second base in the bottom of the seventh inning, to give the host Spartans a narrow crossover victory at Adams Center.
Ashley Chartrand, Mackenzie Hall and Katie Lyndaker each had two hits for the Spartans (13-3, 9-0).
Jenny Jones had two hits, including a triple, as Watertown scored four times to take the lead in the top of the seventh. Caitlin Dreisbach and Kylie Merritt each smacked a pair of hits for Watertown (2-12, 1-5).

IMMACULATE HEART 0
Erica Hovey pitched the shutout, and Chelsea Cavellier provided two hits, including an RBI double, to help the Lions to a crossover victory at Glen Park.
Doni Hall had two hits, while Hovey and Sandy Parish each drove in a run for General Brown (10-7, 5-5).
Sarah Ward finished 2-for-3 for the Cavaliers (1-8, 0-6).
APW 12, INDIAN RIVER 6
Zana Gervaise and Brooke Radley led the Rebels with two hits apiece in a crossover victory at Parish.
Dana Sprole took the win for Altmar-Parish-Williamstown (6-6, 4-5).
Indian River (6-9, 2-5) was led by Taylor Kubber with a home run and a double.
SANDY CREEK 20, LYME 0
Seventh-grader Chelsea Claflin struck out 11 and allowed just one hit as the Comets breezed to a crossover victory at Sandy Creek.
Chelsea Crump finished 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs for the Comets (11-0), and Courtney Claflin supplied two of Sandy Creek's 19 hits.
Taylor Malinowski earned the only hit for Lyme (0-9) with two outs in the top of the seventh.
SACKETS HARBOR 2, ALEXANDRIA 1
The Patriots scored twice in the top of the ninth and held on to win a long "D" Division game at Alexandria Bay.
Jenna Weaver and Helena Brenner each had a base hit in the final inning for Sackets Harbor (8-6, 7-3), which took advantage of a walk and a passed ball to score.
Sbrina Sochia drove in Alexandria's run in the ninth. Ashley Scott went 2-for-3 for the Purple Ghosts (3-6).
