BOONE, N.C. — Alexandria Bay native and Appalachian State University wrestling coach Paul Mance will be honored by the North Carolina Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame later this month, the school announced via a press release Monday.
Mance, whose lifetime service to the sport will be recognized, recently completed his 32nd season guiding the Mountaineers. He has tallied a 341-203-10 record, coached three NCAA All-Americans, and helped two athletes reach the Olympics.
The ceremony is set for 4:30 p.m. Sunday, May 18 at Chapel Hill, N.C. during the annual Hall of Fame Day Banquet.
