LACONA — Wayne E. Friot, 61, Taylor, Mich., formerly of Lacona, died Tuesday at St. Joseph's Rehabilitation Center, Detroit, Mich.

Mr. Friot was a machinist for 20 years at the former Burkhart Bros. Co., Syracuse, and then was a self-employed machinist for Oneida Silver until retiring.

Born Nov. 12, 1946, in Syracuse, son of Donald and Pauline LeFleur Friot, he graduated from Cicero High School.

He moved in 1977 to Lacona, where he lived until moving to Taylor in July.

He married Nancy Fuller 40 years ago.

Surviving besides his wife are four daughters and three sons-in-law, Rebecca and Scott Wilson, Mexico, Karen Ross and Jennifer and Donald Siegel, all of Taylor, and Christina and Wayne Davis, Lacona; a sister, Shirley Barnes, Mexico; a brother, Robert, Florida, and eight grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at United Wesleyan Church, Sandy Creek, with the Rev. Brian Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.

Calling hours will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Arrangements are with Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek.

Donations may be made to United Wesleyan Church or the American Heart Association.
