Claude and Linda Gibson, Rivervale, N.J., announce the engagement of their daughter, Carly Beth Gibson, to Anders Thor Hasseler, son of Robert and Marsha Hasseler, Watertown.

Miss Gibson received a bachelor's degree in 2006 in pastoral ministry from Nyack College, is employed at Tanglewood Acres Adult Home in Chestnut Ridge and hopes to become a physician assistant.

Mr. Hasseler, a 2002 graduate of General Brown Central School, Dexter, also received a bachelor's degree in 2006 in pastoral ministry from Nyack College and is a graduate student at Pace University. He teaches math at Middle School No. 22 Jordan-Mott in the Bronx.

A July 26 wedding is planned in New Jersey.
