BRIER HILL — The funeral for David "Gordie" Warren, 62, of 2691 Route 37 Brier Hill, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Fox-McLellan Funeral Home, Ogdensburg, with the Rev. David Sheppard officiating. Burial will be in Brier Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Warren died Thursday at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, Ogdensburg.

Calling hours will be 6 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where a Masonic ritual will be held at 7.

He had worked for Brown's Dairy delivering milk, was head custodian at Morristown Central School, worked constructing stone walls, was an equipment operator and operated a farm in Brier Hill.

He was chairman and commissioner of the review board in Brier Hill, was a third degree Mason, was past master of the Black Lake Masonic Lodge, was a member of the Looking South Hunting Camp and Farm, and was known by the residents of Brier Hill as "The Mayor." He enjoyed his Sherwood Forest Land and collecting antiques.

Born Nov. 2, 1945, in Ogdensburg, son of Joseph and Alice Reynolds Warren, he attended Morristown Central School.

He married Beverly Cutway on Nov. 26, 1966. She died Jan. 25, 1994. He married Wendy Wainwright on Sept. 17, 1994.

Surviving besides his wife are his mother, Alice Warren, Morristown; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Patricia, and LeRoy and Brendon, all of Brier Hill; two daughters, Whitney Warren and Emily Warren, both of Brier Hill; six sisters and their husbands, Judy and Ronald Wright, Morristown, Linda and Carl Cutway, Rensselaer Falls, Sharon and Tom Logan, Norfolk, Barbara and Christian Turner, Macomb, Susan and Richard Ekman, Brier Hill, and Katherine and Richard Gilmour, Morristown; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Willis and his companion, Gladys Saford, Brier Hill, and Howard and Sandy, Morristown; four grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

His father, a sister, Carolyn Bickelhaup, and a brother, Joseph, died before him.
