Can we trust Wright if he runs again?
FRIDAY, MAY 2, 2008

To the people of the 48th Senate District, my concern is the fickleness of former Sen. James Wright and the cost to the taxpayers of New York state. He chose to leave office in the middle of his term for financial gain, which cost the taxpayers dearly for a special election. His decision to do so is, of course, within reason to anyone wishing to better themselves, and I would not deny him that.

However, he left thinking that the seat would remain in Republican hands. Disappointment in the outcome of the election has caused him to have second thoughts. He now wants to return less than six months after he left office. Does this represent faulty logic on his part or egotism?

Remember when he runs again, can we trust him to finish his term or will he jump ship again for greener pastures? His entry into the Senate race essentially eliminates any chance for Will Barclay to run again.
