Mr. and Mrs. Larry Robert Cummings, 26152 Route 3, Watertown, are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary with a trip to Williamsburg, Va.
Mr. Cummings, son of the late Charles and Marian Cummings, and Connie Joanne Hughes, daughter of the late John and Esther Hughes, were married April 27, 1968, at Holy Family Church with Monsignor William J. Argy officiating.
Honor attendants were Janet Tubolino, Adams, and David Hennigan, Dexter.
Mr. and Mrs. Cummings graduated from Watertown High School.
Mr. Cummings is retired from employment with the city of Watertown Water Department and in 1976 received the Boy Scouts Silver Beaver Award.
He served three years in the Army as a helicopter mechanic in Korea and was a scoutmaster in Holy Family parish from 1960 to 1975. He is a member of Hiawatha Seaway Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars post 1400 and Elks Lodge 496.
Mrs. Cummings was employed with F.W. Woolworth and the Boy Scouts office, Watertown. She is a member of North Country Spinning and Weaving Guild and enjoys sewing, spinning and weaving, crocheting and knitting.
The couple has a daughter, Bonnie Rutledge, Watertown, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
