FORT DRUM — Gen. George W. Casey Jr., the Army's chief of staff, will visit Friday to ascertain the 10th Mountain Division's level of readiness for deployment to Iraq in May.

Gen. Casey, previously a multinational forces commander in Iraq, will oversee a rehearsal exercise at the Battle Command Training Center, meet with the post's Warrior Transition Unit, gauge progess made in the treatment of injured soldiers and speak with regional community leaders to discuss Army-related issues.
